Charcoal Class: Abstract Drawing from Nature (Postponed)

To be rescheduled due to predicted extreme temperatures!

Friday, June 24th

9 am – 10:30 am

Francis Park, St. Louis City

Location and additional details sent after registration.

We’ll meet in the park to make landscape-inspired abstract drawings in charcoal. This is a great attentive practice, pairing the eye and the mind to create abstract compositions from nature. Such a useful skill for any artist or art-interested person!

Provided with fee: charcoal drawing sticks and newsprint paper (all you need, basically!)

Suggested additional supplies you could bring: chamois cloth, blending stump, drawing paper, erasers, pencils

Wear clothes that can get dirty.

Seating will not be provided, though we will gather near an area with some park seating. Please bring a blanket if you like to work on the ground, or a chair if you want guaranteed seating! And don’t forget drinking water and bug/sun protection. Restrooms will be available nearby.

Session will be rescheduled in the event of bad weather, refunds available.
